DJ Haeussler
BS, MS, DVM, DACVO
Dr. DJ Haeussler is a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist
and owner of The Animal Eye Institute, with locations throughout Ohio and Kentucky.
A Cincinnati native, he earned his DVM and MS from The Ohio State University and
completed internships at Garden State Veterinary Specialists before returning to OSU
for his residency. His research has received top honors from both OSU and the ACVO.
Dr. Haeussler has published in leading journals, authored Recognition of Canine Ocular
Disease: A Photo Atlas, and his photography is featured in textbooks and lectures
worldwide. He also hosts the Veterinary Ophthalmology podcast and co-owns the VetEye App.
Dr. Haeussler has served in leadership roles with the ACVO and the Cincinnati Veterinary
Medical Association and continues to advance the field through clinical work, research,
and mentorship.
